UPDATES:
I have decided to put more links on this page to help others researching in the same area as my family. Some of the European birth towns are: KLEINSCHMIDT from Balfanz, Prussia and DUBAS from Zboriv, Ukraine. Most of my United States ancestors lived in Pennsylvania, including the counties of Berks, Philadelphia, and Montgomery. Here are some of the sites I have found to help my research in these areas.

This site includes surname searches, research aids, and maps of villages.
Federation of East European Family History Societies
This is an excellent site to search for European families! Highly recommended! This site has a search engine.
Search for your German town here and find out what it is called today, and the location. Plus you can get emails to others searching for family in the same town.
Zboriv
This site has lots of Ukraine links. They also have a mailing lists for those interested in Ukraine. The genealogy list is where I found out where the town of Zboriv is located.
